July ‘26 Faves

July has been great! Definitely hot, but still great. I love a good sweat. It’s good for ya - haha! I have been loving several news things, as well as some good ol’ staples. I am excited to share them with you today, as well as how you can get them for yourself!

  1. My boss, @linabryan gave me a Staykation blanket last year and I love it so much. It’s so soft and comfortable. Every morning I cover up with it on the couch while I drink my coffee and read the Bible. And then again at night when we watch a movie. It’s the best blanket. :)

  2. My good friend Brandi makes the absolute best baked goods from her sourdough starters. I have tried countless sourdough items in Nashville and her items are simply the best. The name of her business is “Southern Acres Homestead”. She is located in Columbia, TN, but she does deliver to several spots in the Franklin/Nashville area. Her bread is made with organic unbleached all-purpose flour, filtered water, unrefined Himalayan pink salt, and dusted with organic white rice flour. I usually get two loaves. I keep one on the counter for the week while Jacob and I eat it with our eggs for breakfast. Then I freeze the other one for later. This month I also got a batch of her sourdough cookies and all I can say is WOW! Brandi also teaches sourdough classes, which I have done as well! You can find her on instagram @southernacreshomestead or on her website here.

  3. Every night before bed I take 2-3 capsules of Be Well By Kelly’s Magnesium. It has three different kinds of magnesium, L-theanine, GABA, and B6. It’s so relaxing and it helps me to get deep sleep. I really appreciate the high quality ingredients that go into every product at Be Well by Kelly. Definitely one of my favorite brands.

  4. I have been enjoying some different books over the last few months. I read The Bibliodiet by Jordan Rubio and Dr. Josh Axe a couple of months ago and I loved it. The book talks about how to eat Biblically and how to take care of our bodies in the way that God intended for us to. Such a good read. I just recently finished “The Fight For Female” by Lisa Bevere. It’s a Christian book about reclaiming our divine identity as female. I am currently reading Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. The movie with Keira Knightley is one of my favorite movies of all time, and I love classic literature, so I thought I would read the book as well. I am really enjoying it. Good combo of romance and wit.

  5. My favorite skin care line for the last year or so has been Toups & Co. Organics. They are the leading tallow skincare brand. I love that they consciously craft each product with such intentionality. As they say, the skin is our largest organ, so it’s important to carefully choose what we decide to put on it. All of their ingredients are tested for purity and quality - when they say clean ingredients, they mean it! I use their face and body care products such as the Seabuckthorn Cleansing Oil, the Glow Serum, and the Frankincense Face Balm. I also use their makeup! I love their liquid foundation. I use many other products of theirs as well. They are a wonderful company.

  6. If you live in the Nashville/Franklin area, I highly recommend the raw milk products from Whispering Willows Farm & Dairy. They are located in Thompson Station, but they have delivery days to different areas throughout the week. They are often sold out, but I talked to the owner the other day and he said there may be some spots open through their herd share in some areas. Or you can join the waitlist if it’s not available at this time. I do not tolerate conventional dairy well AT ALL. But I enjoy milk/cream in my coffee, so this is perfect for me. I also add a splash into my sweet potato pancakes. Raw A2 milk is a great source of healthy enzymes, vitamins, and minerals. It is much easier to digest as well. I have enjoyed their raw A2 milk, cheese, and yogurt. The cheese is great on burgers - trust me. They also sell pastured chicken and eggs.

  7. Some products I have been taking for my gut health for awhile now are Chris Kresser’s Adapt Naturals Colostrum and Collagen. I have noticed such a difference in my gut health as well as my skin, hair, and nails health. I can’t recommend both of these products enough. I take two scoops of colostrum in the morning with water (not with hot liquid). And at night I heat up some hot water, steep some stinging nettle/holy basil tea and then add two scoops of collagen to the tea. Sometimes I add a dash of raw milk as well. I love everything about Chris Kresser’s brand because he is such an honest guy. He has been through the ringer with health issues in the past, so he truly cares about creating high quality products that actually work. Check his brand out! I also use his magnesium, omega 3 fish oils, and D3. Love em’ all.

  8. For fun, Jacob and I have been watching lots of old movies. Movies were so much more wholesome back then. They give the good feels/good vibes. Some recent faves that we have enjoyed going back and watching are The Goonies (1985), Dances with Wolves (1990), The Searchers (1956), Top Gun (1986), and all of the old Jurassic Park movies. For new watches… I LOVED the netflix version of Little House On The Prairie. I started it over as soon as I finished it.

Well that’s it for my July faves! I hope you enjoy them for yourself. Have a great weekend!
